Say Hi is Eric Elbogen, a one man band, indie popster from Seattle. He has a new album out, aptly titled from the sounds of things, “Oohs & Aahs”.  Stream it here.  Buy It here

the interview show: Say hi!

Say Hi! are the band formerly known as Say Hi To Your Mom. SHTYM’s last record Impeccable Blahs was an indie rock album all about vampires—it even had a song dedicated to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe “Angels and Darlas.”

Say Hi! have traded the pop culture obsessions for songs about girls who can beat you at Pac-Man.

My favorite song on their new record, The Wishes and The Glitch, is “Northwestern Girls.” The song was inspired by Say Hi! mastermind Eric Elbogen’s move from New York City to the Pacific Northwest.

While struggling in gritty NYC, Elbogen spent stints as a garbage man and music critic. And even though Eric has traded the sophistication of NYC for the charms of the Emerald City, he plans to return… one day.

BTW: Eric hates Easter.
