the interview show: RAC
When I met with André Allen Anjos (left) aka RAC (Remix Artist Collective), he was a few beers into his night. RAC is one of the most prolific remixers in music and he has recently ventured into making his own material. RAC remixes are always a favorite of mine, so I was psyched to talk with Andre. Tokyo Police Club “Wake Up (Boots of Danger)” (RAC remix) One of RAC‘s first remixes. He found these Canadian indie favs on the internet and emailed them.
Lana Del Rey “Blue Jeans” (RAC remix) One of RAC‘s most popular remixes.

the interview show: Penguin Prison
New York singer, musician, producer and remixer Chris Glover aka Penguin Prison has one of the smoothest voices in indie electro-pop right now. Take a listen and you’ll agree.
Chris has a surprisingly long and varied music resume, so I was amped to chat with him last time he was in town. When Neon Trees soundcheck was too loud in the background, we ended up trekking all over downtown Vancouver to find a suitable spot to chat, then…. the interview show: Temper Trap
Temper Trap make indie rock in the vein of Radiohead, Muse and The Doves. A few years ago, they were an unknown Australian indie rock band–until one of their songs changed everything. “Sweet Disposition” allowed the band to leave Australia move to London for a chance at becoming a world class rock band.
Temper Trap is back with a new self-titled record. The band take a few risks this time out, with a track about the London Riots (“London Burning”). I sit down with Toby from the band and I get him to talk about Temper Trap‘s journey. I even get him to tell me his fantasy rockstar death!

the interview show: Gigamesh
I met the blonde giant known as Gigamesh in a Starbucks in downtown Vancouver. He was doing a little production while he waited. Matt aka Gigamesh started out remixing with his brother, calling themselves Discotech, but he has since gone solo, making some of my favorite remixes. Recently he has started his own orignal productions, releasing an EP on the Kitsune label.
I get him to chat about remixing and he is surprisingly candid. (Seriously, you will not believe some of the stuff this guy says!)

Gigamesh “When You’re Dancing” (RAC remix) Gigamesh and RAC are my two favorite remixers, so this track is one of my favorites.)
Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks (Gigamesh Remix) This is the remix that caught everyone’s attention.
