Para One – Every Little Thing (feat. Cam’ron, Irfane & Tekilatex) [Canblaster Remix]

An early front runner for tune of the year on this unlikely collab from Marble heavy hitter Para One, Irfane (of Breakbot fame), Teki Latex (Sound Pellegrino/co-owner of the best Wednesday podcast on the internet) and just to top it off, anti-tattletale activist Cam’ron. The original flows well smooth but Club Cheval’s Canblaster takes it over the top with his signature nu-jack flourish, sexy bassline work and unexpected key changes. France rides again.

Mixtape Monday: Four Tet
Mondays go one of two ways. They’re either spent wallowing in the dread of your week’s to-do list with all those bills to pay, or you get that Eye of the Tiger gleam, the one that makes you go out and bend the world over a desk.
For those still on the fence about today, throw this on collection of rarities from experimental legend Four Tet and let it ease you towards wherever you need to be.
His trippy washing machine take on JT’s Suit and Tie is definitely worth a listen or seven too.
Guess they took down that JT remix.

A Tribe Called Quest – 1nce Again (Bit Funk Remix)

Based out of Brooklyn, the prolific Canadian producer Bit Funk dropped a refresh of one of my favorite all time jams today – ATCQ’s 1nce Again (produced by the late legend J Dilla). Bright pianos over a springtime groove, get it for the low price of zero dollars.
Catch him in Vancouver at the Electric Owl March 30 alongside yours truly.

Gigamesh – Enjoy

Our favorite purple people eater Gigamesh is back with this poppy dance anthem out today on Nurvous Records. Cop it here and be sure to check the tougher, italoey remix turned in by Los Angeles’ Oliver. That addictive vocal sample kicks in at 1:15 of the video… any excuse to post Wham!

Disclosure – White Noise feat. AlunaGeorge

Are production teams the new boy bands? Storming their way from DJ secret weapon to every relevant music outlet on the internet to the #2 spot on the UK Singles chart, it seems dismissive of the Lawrence brothers’ already impressive portfolio to label them so… but every revolution needs a name.
The teen wunderkinds are bringing their live show to the West Coast for Sasquatch. And stop calling it postdubstep.

Moon Boots – No One

The intergalactic Moon Boots has built a reputation in recent years for unforgettable melodic hooks and a penchant for flipping vocal samples like the boom bap producers of yore. I recently had the chance to share the decks with him in Mexico City and he’s also a solid selector and stand-up dude. Today the former member of Hey Champ! returns with No One, a collage of sultry female hooks, Chicago house rhythms and jazz hands that glisten like the moons of Jupiter. Download it gratis.
