Long Wknd Massif #YVR-9/4
Depending on your level of internet nerdery you may or may not of heard that Gobble Gobble have changed their name to BORN GOLD.
The group have literally been touring non stop for the last year+ and have managed to spur the Purity Ring and Kuhrye-oo side projects that you will continue to hear a lot more about. They have emerged from playing clandestine basements to festival main stages.
They are coming back to Vancouver this upcoming long weekend, Sunday Sept 4th at the Electric Owl, 928 Main St. The next day is the last day of summer break, it should be celebrated.
Their debut Lp, aptly titled, “Bodysongs” comes out September 20th. Get the MP3s on September 9th if you pre-order the LP at INSOUND

Daytrotter record an insane amounts of artists (everyone from Mt Kimbe to Wavves and Vampire Weekend) quickly in their studio as they pass through town. It’s often more of an acoustic one take recording that they do which ends up being a very unique raw take on the artist. Teen Daze was a recent recordee which rules. This track is from that session.
