Del Shannon – Runaway Dubstep

From wiki:
He flew to New York City, but his first sessions did not produce results. McLaughlin persuaded Shannon and Crook to rewrite and re-record one of their earlier songs, originally called “Little Runaway”, using the Musitron as lead instrument. On January 21, 1961, they recorded “Runaway”, released as a single in February 1961. It reached #1 in the Billboard chart in April.

Now, 50 years later for the anniversary, they have added a “dubstep”.

More news on who got whoop’d

Did you hear about Suge Knight getting knocked out? Him and his boys got in a scuffle outside an LA club called Shag with a guy who apparently owed Suge some money. After the altercation the guy came back to the club in his car and jumped out and hit Suge with a one shot to the jaw. Suge was knocked out for 3 minutes while people took photos on their cell phones! Apparently, dude who punched him is a barbershop owner in LA.
I’ve heard talks of a Las Vegas style rematch, whether that means a Tupac style gun down or a boxing match, I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
More of the story at TMZ as well as more photos….
In other Suge news, ive heard he’s thinking about moving on and shutting down Death Row, the record label that started the whole west coast g-thing after two preachers separately told him god gives you a second chance and that now is the time to leave the past behind. Sounds like some prophecy ish!!!
Anyways… From “The Name Game’s” Shirley Ellis here’s a nice oldie to clap it out to.
