Winnie has like absolutely no Quebec following at all, must have something to do with all the terrible slang / racism or my barely passing grades in French class, “Je suis un garçon chatte”.
The majority of our readers are from B.C., California and New York (3 of my 4 fave places, excluding Montreal/ Quebec). I think we get the same amounts of readers from a place called Pasay in the Philippines. Winnie’s Hunk le Drunk is coming out to Montreal with one of our fave Vancouver bands, Humans, with Karn also djing Friday November 12th. Hopefully at Play House (TBC)… Maybe we can make some mixed race super babies or something?

Happy New Year…?
My New Year resolutions for 2k9:
No more fist pounds. If someone comes towards you trying to intiate one, the new thing to do is, “the downward wrist chop”, followed by a firm and audible “no”.
Try to quit smoking. Why not quit smoking rather than trying to? because smoking is so great. Everyone who smokes and tried to quit knows this, sometimes it takes quiting to realize. The most interesting people at any party are always found in the smoking area.
Be really mean. 2k9 is the year of being really mean. The hippie ideal of loving one another has not worked out. This year i’m going to try to be the biggest asshole / jerk / shit head I can. So far it feels great.
Lastly, because I can’t think of any other things that I could improve on, don’t hoard all the good songs. I have this imaginary mix tape that im always making and I save all the good songs for it. Fuck it. Heres to 2k9, isn’t it amazing? How many days till summer? Thankgod for music.
