This Friday at the Waldorf, Midnight City V is happening and they are bringing in Winnie faveee Cosmic Kids from Los Angeles for their first ever Canadian tour date! Cosmic Kids are staples in LA’s house and disco scene and have played alongside Todd Terje, Jacques Renault, Holy Ghost!, Classixx, and more.

Every now and then, I get bored of the music that’s out there. This happens to everyone.

Don’t get me wrong, there are bands, artists, and producers right now who are doing amazing things, but it just feels like we’re all ready to go down a different path because we’re in a bit of a stale lull as far as more forward, unique music.

Utopia Now Festival

Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, Utopia Now happens on March 5 and combines a daytime conference, workshops, mobile dance party and evening showcase to celebrate the vital roles women and digital culture play in creating Vancouver’s future.

Produced by W2 Community Media Arts Society and curated by DJ Betti Forde, Niña Mendoza, DJ Librarian and Irwin Oostindie, the Utopia Now Festival features:
