the interview show: School of Seven Bells
School of Seven Bells (aka SVIIB) is Benjamin Curtis and Alejandra Deheza. They met while on tour with Interpol in different bands and now they make tranquil electro-pop with a bit of shoegaze tossed in.
SVIIB‘s third record Ghostory is the first record they have made without Alejandra’s twin sister Claudia. I get Ben to talk about what the band’s name really means, Claudia’s abrupt exit from the band, what losing a member can mean to a band, hauntings and much more. (Plus: For those of you who are fans of music from the 90s, can you believe that Ben was in Tripping Daisy? Awesome!)
