Tanlines – All of Me
Celebrate the 1st of March with a killer new jam from Tanlines. ”All of Me” is the second single off their upcoming album “Mixed Emotions” due out March 20th via True Panther Records. And if you haven’t heard already, Tanlines will be blowing up Vancouver on April 23rd at Fortune Sound Club thanks to Winnie and Timbre Concerts. I used to live in a West End studio apartment years ago where the entire building was made of brick and concrete. So the soundproofing was absolutely amazing and I could put my tunes on blast at 3 AM on a Tuesday night and my next door neighbour would not hear a single thing.
This is one of the tracks I remember maxing the volume out on. controller.controller are from Toronto. Sadly, according to their Myspace blog the band members have moved on to other projects and it looks like the future of controller.controller is up in the air. Booooooo.

I used to have lengthy discussions with Madrid Lex about logic, probability, and reasoning. I’ve since been convinced that I’m illogical and probably unreasonable. Whatevs. To that end, I found this Venn diagram that I’d like to present to my pal Lex Laser:
Gang Gang Dance are certainly an interesting bunch. For some reason, there are people out there with a serious hate on for the experimental group from NYC (yes, yes, I like to read blog comments when the mood strikes me). The flipside is there are throngs of people who absolutely love them.
Despite their ability to polarize the masses, you can’t deny their unique sound.

It’s my favourite thing in the world when someone you haven’t spoken to in a while gives you a call and it turns out they’ve reached new heights of condescending and douchey. Yeah, yeah I love that. So good. Love it. Yeah.
Thing is, I don’t wear gold silkscreened everything, incessantly talk about myself, or follow UFC… soooo it’s kinda sorta hard to relate.
While I was being mistaken for someone who would care to listen, the voice in my head: “Dude, isn’t “MANswers” on?”

I Feel Great
I went to San Francisco last weekend. There was a heavy windstorm on the way back and as my flight approached the runway for landing, the plane began to teeter violently side to side. With the swirling gusts of wind, the plane would not stabilize and as we descended towards the ground, the jets suddenly fired up again and the plane pulled back up. The pilot had aborted the landing and we circled again for another go at it… holy crap.
