Waves Through Youtube

YouTube Preview Image

Erol Alkan and Boys Noize released  Waves this past august. An Epic piece of electronica.

They then asked piano maestro Chilly Gonzales to create his own version of the track. Released today on itunes and Juno along with a 4 minute B-side of Gonzales explaining the story of how it came about.

And on a side note here’s the battle that Gonzales had with Andrew W.K this past September in New York. Equally as epic.

Also if you missed out on the Winnie TV Episode 7 with Andrew W.K., this is as good a time as ever to see what you missed out on.

Fan Death?

Fire in the disco!

Fan Death were recently signed by Erol Alkan after he heard “Veronica’s Veil” on their mypace. Check out Erol’s remix of the track available exclusively through Beatport.

Fan Death - Veronica’s Veil

Fan Death - When the Money’s Right

***The term, “Fan Death” is a Korean urban legend which states that an electric fan, if left running overnight in a closed room, can cause the death (bysuffocation, poisoning, or hypothermia) of those inside.

Fans manufactured and sold in Korea are equipped with a timer switch that turns them off after a set number of minutes, which users are frequently urged to set when going to sleep with a fan on.

The Korea Consumer Protection Board (KCPB), a South Korean government-funded public agency, issued a consumer safety alert in 2006 warning that “asphyxiation from electric fans and air conditioners” was among South Korea’s five most common seasonal summer accidents or injuries, according to data they collected!!!!!

wtf? lolz. THIS IS FOR REAL. read more

If your having trouble understanding here it is simplified:

Here’s another blog article on it.  Remember to turn that fan off at night.  Thank god it’s not summer anymore.
