We caught a glimpse of Hayleau‘s talent from her involvement with group Withinroots and now she’s back with her debut solo track “Nice and Slow” produced by Nico DT. It’s a marvelous heavy rendition to Usher’s 1997 single from his second album My Way, stream the track below.
We first came across Brent Faiyaz through his side project Sonder with producers Dpat & Atu and instantly knew whatever music he had coming up would without a doubt be outstanding R&B. His debut 5-track EP A.M. Paradox delivers in every way and is a refreshing soulful sound that can give you a nice break from Blonde. We highly suggest keeping an eye on this cat because this EP is a strong musical statement and we’re sure this is just the beginning.

“I was inspired by being in LA enjoying the insane heat and how the sun was shining on me, visually so beautiful, but it was just pure pain. If life is a beach, it requires you to take a loan and buy an AC.”

Luna Shadows has dropped her final single before the release of her debut EP “Summertime”. The song is called “Waves” and is probably my favourite track off the EP. The entire EP from start to finish feels like a summer day in California, which makes sense given the title and lyrical content of it. Be sure to pre-order “Summertime” here – released July 1st. If you live in LA or NYC keep an eye out for her debut shows coming up.
“”Waves” brings these four singles full circle, back to where they started with yet another cautionary tale — except unlike “Cry Wolf” where I’m one issuing the warning, I’m on the other side of that in “Waves.” This song is a bit of a stern conversation with myself about letting go of sentimentality and forcing myself to be more vulnerable to all things ephemeral… to have experiences without assigning meaning to each of them, or to risk suffering the consequences of attachment. The instrumental bed echoes this adamant lyrical suggestion that I defy my own sentimental nature, as it starts off with a solo wistful piano before being carried away, without notice, by detached, airtight electronic sounds.”
