Vancouver’s ELI MURO has just released a brand new track titled “Snakes & Ladders”. Cellos on the track were done by Florida-based Patrick Finazzo. Muro was 1 of 20 selected by Red Bull Music Academy to participate in BassCamp Montreal in 2014. He is also head of a Vancouver-based creative collective and net label “Jellyfish Recordings”, which is focused on connecting local like minded producers across a range of styles and influences.

It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard from Vancouver’s Jellyfish Recordings but co-founder and Chapel Sound member Eli Muro has been hard at work on this exquisite EP that really is a bloggers nightmare for the simple fact that it’s quite impossible to label any of the music in this release. Eli has stepped up his game since his last release with more of an ambient feel to it all but overall his sound has progressed dramatically with everything sounding nice and sharp. The overall feel of the EP is electronic but the amount of influences, styles and vibes this project has really makes it hard to label it anything short of amazing. From “Dreamtime Hunter” to “Trinkets” this EP really takes you on a smooth ride that only makes you wish there was more, this 8 track EP is finished off with remixes from local cats Kline, Ekali & Jade Statues who all add their own twist. Stream the EP above or download here, keep up with Eli on his Soundcloud, Facebook & Twitter. Catch him playing at “Politics of Dance” along with CS member Shaunic at Sugar Studios, more info on event here.
Fresh from Red Bull’s Bass Camp in Montreal Jellyfish Recordings founder and Chapel Sound member Eli Muro returns to Vancity and drops a very unique song with all sorts of sounds and samples through out the journey of a track. Between the few noticeable Ciara “Body Party” samples in there is an incredibly refreshing electronic sound that really can’t be labelled, it’s a psychedelic dance track that will definitely get you moving.
