When I called to interview Ghostkeeper, Sarah was talking care of business–in the bathroom. Luckily, Sarah from the band spoke with me for a bit while I waited. The first thing Shane did when he got on the phone was describe himself as a B.F.I. (You will have to listen to hear what that stands for.) After that, I had no idea what to expect next.

Ghostkeeper are one of the more interesting bands on the Flemish Eye label (home of red hot indie acts like Women, Chad VanGaalen and Braids to name a few).

Mardeen is from Atlantic Canada.  Im having trouble placing who they remind me of so I’ll avoid that and just say that they have a radio friendly fuzz pop sound that you should hear for yourself.

Chad VanGaalen’s new album “Soft Airplane” is being released, Tuesday Sept 9th.  Check out the video to the first single, “Molton Light”.  The video, which is absolutely amazing, was animated by Mr Chads himself. Peep the animated trailers for the album below which were also done by CVG.  

If you preorder the album by Sept 9th you can also get a bonus cd-r with an additional track and some acoustic track versions.
