New Albertans

On April 24 2012, The Albertans will release ‘The Hunter‘. A haunting, elegant seven inch vinyl EP recorded with Joshua Stevenson (Magnetic Rings). The title track is an epic journey that leads you into a sinister foray of organ sounds and frenzied guitar. ‘The Hunter‘ was formed in the damp coves of Bowen Island (BC) and offers a glimpse into things and sounds to come.
To celebrate, The Albertans are throwing a party at The Biltmore on Friday April 20th.

RITON w/ RadioZero DJs Cam Dales & Tyler Fedchuk

Winnie loves St. Patrick’s Day, kissing the Irish is one of our favorite pastimes. So, we’re teaming up with Intimate Productions and RadioZero to throw an event that is sure to make our leprechaun friends smirk with envy. And of course banging music will be involved. Riton, with RadioZero DJ’s Cam Dales and Tyler Fedchuck, will be helping us celebrate at the Electric Owl on Saturday, March 17.
Riton aka Henry Smithson hails from the United Kingdom, where he has been influencing European dance culture since the early 1990’s. His psychedelic-inspired electro is not only hypnotic but also utterly refreshing.
Doors are at 9pm and early bird tickets are only $12.00…way more reasonable than the outlandish cover that every bar in downtown Vancouver will be charging and they won’t have any hipster babes. Now that you’ve made up your mind, tickets will soon be available online but you can also check out the following locations:
BeatStreet Records (439 Hastings)
Puff Uptown (3255 Main St & 16th)
Puff Granville (841 Granville St)
Zulu Records (1972 W 4th Ave)
Red Cat (4332 Main Street)
For more information on group rates visit our event page.
