Hey ho! We’re back with some new for 2013. This week I chat with The Lumineers.
I met Lumineers lead Wesley Shultz (above centre) deep in the bowels of Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre. Not many know this, but The Lumineers got their start as a cover band called Free Beer. Wes told me how the band got their current name and who he likes to serenade while he or she takes a dump in the woods. Listen to our chat for all the details!

The Lumineers “Hey Ho” This track seems ready for a viral YouTube cover. Will it be a cute kid or a band all playing one instrument? …The original is pretty awesome.
The Lumineers “Dead Sea” This track was inspired when an ex told Wesley that he was like the Dead Sea to her. It sounds like an insult at first, but when you think for a minute, it’s really a big compliment.
