YVR: SUNSHINE
Some songs are just destined to become memorable cinematic moments, as their words establish a landscape that goes far beyond the circumference of your headphones. And I have a feeling that up-and-coming indie band Sunshine will one day be featured in a Sofia Coppola movie and/or a quirky indie flick that features Chloe Sevigny.
Consisting of five notable Vancouver musicians, including DJ Trevor Risk (Come Friday & Ice Cream Social), Sunshine creates aggressive dream-pop that makes you lust after an early winter romance, preferably with a dude that isn’t still married.
Their debut LP isn’t out until February 26th, but you can check out a few songs via their bandcamp now.
