TRIP-O-WEEN AT FORTUNE W/ TEEN WITCH
According to pop culture critics the 1980’s were a glorious time in history. Winona Ryder wasn’t shoplifting, everyone wanted to be part of the Breakfast Club and the Goonies changed the face of feature films for all of eternity. This is what makes Chicago’s Teen Witch, real name Zain Curtis, a force to be reckoned with. He invokes an entire decade of nostalgia via his infectious personality and turnt up beats.
Curtis wears many hats. He’s a DJ, promoter, internet sensation and the editor of Teen Witch magazine, a publication inspired by Tumblr, sub-cultures, Nickelodeon and of course 80’s teen nostalgia. Needless to say Curtis has made quite the name for himself over the past few years and following his upcoming show with Heems and Dap of Das Racist he’ll be coming by Vancouver for Fortune’s TRIP-O-WEEN extravaganza. This night will also feature local legend Cyril Hahn, Winnie bb Wobangs, Okland’s Falcons and a live audio/visual set by Killing Time Quartet.
