Introducting – BEΛR//FVCE
Finding out about new music for all of us is quite a rewarding feeling, especially when you aren’t told about the artist but find them yourself. With Bear//Face I did just that, this 19 year old artist from Belfast, Ireland just made his sound heard no more than a week ago.
I had seen the name on Bandcamp and the day after it got brought back up to my attention with his new JT remix. The result was a falling in love to this guy’s sound over one single listen of his work. The first track had me eager to hear the beat drop that was obviously coming, the soothing singing and ambient R&B gives you a perfect idea of what the rest of this album was going to sound like. “G▲NGY” is the next track and boy does it deliver, right off the bat I notice the “trap” hi-hats followed by the slow drums and vocals kicking in to give this song the depth it’s about to give you, when the bass comes in the sound of the waves and the voice have you feeling high or wanting to get high. It’s literally amazing how this sound is perfect for re-doing How To Dress Well’s “& It Was U” and Justin Timberlake’s “My Love” which he just released 14 hours ago.
