10/25 – Cadence Weapon w/ The Lytics @ Fortune
Poet, DJ, rapper, and my future baby daddy Cadence Weapon (Rollie Pemberton) will be stopping by Fortune Sound Club tomorrow night in support of his latest release “Hope in Dirt City”. Hailing from Edmonton, my fellow prairie-born comrade has been transforming the Canadian rap game since 2005. Seven years and three records later, Rollie has matured both as a producer and as a lyricist. “Hope in Dirt City” was shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and see’s Rollie explore a more complex musical formula.
