The xx – Angels
If you’re looking for a reason to pause Channel Orange(iTunes has me tracked at over 150 song plays from that album since last Tuesday), then check out The xx’s new single Angel. You’d be hard pressed to call the above a music video, but it certainly is imagery accompanied with music.
The song itself is about as chill as it gets, and those silky smooth vocals are something else. I remember making fun of my dad for listening to Melissa Etherridge or Jewel or something when I was 10, and he said ”Someday, you’ll appreciate a woman singing to you”. I kind of get it now.
