When he’s not filming oddball interviews with Nardwuar, director Joe Klymkiw moonlights making video projects. His latest effort, Hip Hop Eh, deals with the problems Canadian hip hop faces getting heard.
Hip Hop Eh features interviews with a veritable who’s who of Canadian hip hop, including Maestro, Buck 65, Kardinal Offishall, Dream Warriors, Michie Mee, Classified, Rascalz, Swollen Members, Shad, among others. The film is definitely worth checking out.
I talk to Joe about the film and his love for Canadian hip hop.
