Jhené Aiko – For My Brother
Far too often, songs are produced for the sole purpose of mass production and/or their future monetary potential. With that said, every once in awhile a song appears on the World Wide Web that possesses a seemingly genuine background story.
Having never lost a close family member, I can only imagine what singer Jhene Aiko is currently going through. She recently announced through her Tumblr that after a hard fought struggle with Cancer, her brother Miyagi died from the disease late last week. In honor of his memory, she penned the following track. It tells the story of unconditional love and a friendship that will never end.
