the interview show: Me TalkPretty

When young Julia (above) first came to North America from her homeland (Romania), all she wanted to do was sing in a band. She sang in a pretty successful band in her homeland, so she thought she could just continue her music here. That should be pretty easy right? All she would need to do is find three or four like-minded people who could play some instruments… Well, it was not as easy as she expected. And this was only the beginning of the journey for Julia and her band Me TalkPretty. Tune in to hear her amazing story!
Strange band fact: Me TalkPretty is named after a David Sedaris book!

Slothbear From New York

These are a few kids you might want to keep up with. Slothbear are a four-peice PRISM POP (indie rock) band from Long Island, NY. Winnie’s been chatting with them re: their awesomeness… and hopefully she’ll bring em’ over from NY for a live treat. Enjoy their track “Ex-Teens” from their recent album Canter On available on Bandcamp here.

::M∆DE::IN::HEIGHTS::

::M∆DE::IN::HEIGHTS:: describe themselves as mythical filth pop which I think is quite accurate. Their 808 hip hop influenced sound is unique and otherworldly. Tied together nicely with the pop female vocals of Kelsey Bulkin. They’re from New York and a side project of Sabzi, the man behind the smooth boom-bap of Seattle duos Blue Scholars and Common Market.
::M∆DE::IN::HEIGHTS:: – Wildflowers (Exhale Efreet)
Name your price to purchase their gem ridden album APORIA: IN THESE §TREETS on their bandcamp.
