Archive for November, 2010:
New Teen Daze Ep “Beach Dreams”

Teen Daze is keeping me warm through these cold winter days.
The band “killed it” on Saturday night at our show, opening for Diamond Rings. It’s really exciting to see the band grow from being one man behind a lap top into a refined band.
They have a new EP out next week, November 30th. It’s a departure from the, “chill wave” label he’s been associated with in the direction of lo fi reverb’y guitar fuzz pop while still maintaining the summer’y nostalgic feel that we all love them for.
Feel like Pitchfork is going to give this EP an 8.7….
Recorded in the Summer of 2010, in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.
I really came to fall in love with the whole lo-fi pop scene this summer, and I wanted to see what I could come up with. After writing “Let’s Fall Asleep Together”, the last three just sort of happened in the span of a few days.
I know that it’s starting to get cold, and that carefree love songs about beach life may seem out of context, but I hope that you guys can look back on your past summer, and let these songs remind you of some of the good experiences you had!
Teen Daze and MillionYoung will be on tour this December:

the interview show: Uffie

Remember this girl from 2006?
Uffie‘s back. It’s time for the re-attack of the damn crazy brat!
Back in 2006, Uffie was one of the most controversial figures in indie music. She couldn’t quite sing, she couldn’t quite rap, yet Uffie was being played in all the hottest clubs. She was backed by Ed Banger and hung out with some of the most cutting edge guys in the French electro scene: Justice, Mr. Oizo, SebastiAn and Feadz, to name a few.
Well now it’s 2010, so time to catch up! Uffie called me from a Fireman’s bar in New York and she told me the question she hated being asked the most “Where the fuck have you been?!?” Plus, Which Ed Banger genius never leaves his house? and Ke$ha… You have to hear it!
Uffie “MCs Can Kiss” My fav off the new record.
Uffie “Pop The Glock” (Mirwais Pop Remix) This track started it all.
Uffie – “Hot Chick” (dj feadz edit) Feadz is the most underappreciated of the Ed Banger DJs.
Coming up… Can you believe it? We only have two shows left in 2010! Next week, we have a party with DVAS and then we end the year with a superstar jam! We’ve got Robbie Slade from Humans, Fallan Soldier, Arowbe from TNR, and Clem from White Cowbell Oklahoma, all on one show. It has to be heard to be believed!
