the interview show: Brian Borcherdt
Like most “artistic types,” I jot down random ideas in a notepad I keep with me. Brian Borcherdt from Holy Fuck is no different. He had two albums of songs stored on his laptop when it went missing in the trunk of a NYC cab. Years of work…gone! He eventually got everything back, but the experience made him decide to release the songs to the public–since they very nearly disappeared all together.
You can download both albums, Torches and The Ward Colorado Demos, from his website for free! Here is a great chance to compare Holy Fuck with Brian Borcherdt solo.

Yukon Blonde are Kelowna ex pats now living in Vancouver. Just back from SXSW, the band have been enjoying some well deserved attention after making CBC’s list of “10 Canadian bands destined to break in 2010.”
They play the Biltmore April 6th for their cd release party where you can pick up a copy of their excellent self titled debut.
