Angst

“You can dress nautical
Learn to tie knots
Take lots of Dramamine
Out on your yacht
But when you’re all alone
And nothing bites
You’ll wish you stayed at home
With someone nice
But when you think you made it disappear
It comes again, “Hello, I’m here”, and
I’ve got angst in my pants”
You can be smart as hell
Know how to add
Know how to figure things
On yellow pads
Answer so no one knows
What you just said
But when you’re all alone
You and your head
What’s the computer say, it’s mumbling now
It says “hey Joe”
It’s spelled it out and
“You’ve got angst in your pants”

Babe Rainbow – Shaved from Salazar on Vimeo.
Been listening to the newly released Babe Rainbow ep, when I came across the new Salazar short film for the “Shaved” track.
Feelin’ a lil scared to go out into the woods now.

She’s A Tease and Disco Ruido are both from Mexico.
This time last year I was there. I miss it.
Hello Mexican friends!

Happy Monday

We’ve been so busy here at Winnie world headquarters that we have fallen waaaaaay behind with our emails. We get so much great stuff sent to us and we really do our best to get through it all.
Alan Wilkis dropped this off for us last week and I just got a chance to check it out. I like it! It’s happy… just like this smiling Shiba Inu puppy.

the interview show: The Raveonettes!

The Raveonettes make beautiful music, indelibly marked by darkness. They would probably be a much bigger band, if they “sold out” and wrote bubblegum lyrics to match their haunting melodies.
I like to think of them as a long lost soundtrack to a David Lynch project.
The Raveonettes on the interview show This is my chat with Sune Rose Wagner (the guy in the band). I don’t know if the Danes are known for being succinct and frank, but Sune certainly is both.
The Raveonettes “Last Dance” A beautiful song about a relationship with a drug addict. See what I mean about an undeniable edge?
The Raveonettes “My Boyfriend’s Back” (The Angels cover) This cover was done for a video game, but Sune and Sharin Foo would much rather make their own stuff.
