At the height of the mid 90s East vs West feud, 2Pac put out this song just a couple years after he was shot five times in Manhattan.
About three months after its release he was shot dead in Vegas.

Tupac was an amazing artist; unfortunately he was also a serious criminal. He was “keepin’ it real” in a big way. No bullshit… It’s no wonder that he got killed, ’cause that boy talked some serious smack.
Still, Tupac’s an admirable character because, despite the fact that he knew his days were numbered, he drove-on.
If he had just dialed-it-back a wee bit, he might still be alive.
First Biggie, then Tupac, then 9-11… Priorities change.
