I love how Jeremy Scott skips NY Fashion Week and debuts his collection in London. His Spring/Summer 2010 collection is inspired by the FLINTSTONES!
Boys, check out his Icarus shoes for Adidas:

the interview show: Metric

You have to respect Canada’s resident indie superstars. This band has taken a lot of risks over it’s career. Metric could be on a major label easily by now. But instead, they decided to finance the new record, Fantasies, themselves.
While making the record, the guys traveled to a lot of studios, Vancouver, Toronto and Seattle, to name a few, searching for the perfect sound. I talk with Jimmy Shaw (left in the picture) about all this, and the Broken Social Scene brotherhood.

Metric are in Australia right now. They are going to make a triumphant return to Canada in October. Let’s go out and see Canada’s reigning indie superstars! Don’t sleep on this one. Several dates are already sold out.
See you at the last stop on the tour!

Surprised?

I spent the better part of Fall 2001 and most of 2002 listening to The Strokes’ debut album ‘Is This It’. Needless to say, this LP was near perfection.
Subsequent album releases from the band have proven to be disappointing and I was sure that they would either fade away into obscurity or go on to do mediocre solo projects. It’s probably still too early to tell. Either of those could still happen, but this single by Julian Casablancas is hopefully a sign that I’m wrong.
With a synthy Phoenix-type pop aesthetic, it’s dancey and still has some rawness that goes so well with Casablancas’ voice. I’ll admit it… I’m caught off guard by how good this first single is.

the interview show: TMSR

Shhhhhhhh! the interview show is back! Let the talk start!
The Most Serene Republic are a band of great big ideas that somehow cram themselves into Broken Social Scene-like songs.
They have a new record out soon and are heading out on the road. Let’s head to the Biltmore later this month when they stop by to unveil all their new tunes.
