Aya

aya

I used to buy almost any record that was released off the Naked Music label.

Aya’s debut single in 2004 was remixed by Jay Denes aka Blue Six. Oh man is it ever good.

The track is so nicely layered and still feels organic while still keeping that electronic esthetic. <—– hahaha I don’t even know what that means.

Whatever, it’s a rad summer song so get an ice cold drink and have a listen.

Aya – Uptown (Jay’s Up Dub)

BTW this is one of my really janky vinyl rips from waaaaaay back when I didn’t know that bit rate was an actual thing I needed to know. If you have a better quality version sans the clicks and pops, please share!

Thanks for this. Found Naked a bit hit and miss.

Yeah it must be an acquired taste. I used to play a lot of soulful loungey house back in the early 2000s. It makes for great patio music!

love naked music back in the day. I remember this record. I almost bought it because of the cover reminds of a throw back cover.

Remember this label from when everyone seemed to be on a deep house kick back when I could actually go out two nights in a row.
