Well Known Pleasures
When I think of Texas, I think of cowboys and Tex-Mex cuisine and SXSW.
The last thing that comes to mind is Italian inspired disco house.
Vega is Alan Palomo. Hailing from Austin, his tracks are dreamy like Australian synth-pop and dancey like French house. He’s also behind the magical indie pop band Neon Indian (Deadbeat Summer is definitely one of my fave jams this year, despite the MGMT comparisons).
This song here is off Vega’s Well Known Pleasures EP.
Vancouverites get a chance to see Vega live in August along with U-Tern and Fedchuk.
