New Bi-Weekly Night
We are very excited to be launching a new night, No More Strangers.
Every other Saturday we will be playing some tunes and bringing out the best local indie pop acts in Vancouver.
This coming Saturday we have a newly formed band, Cairo.
More info at our facebook group page and event listing.
Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is in full swing and, according to Fashion Television on Twitter, “after hearing reports of fewer TV crews and celeb pandemonium at both New York Fashion Week & Milan, we figured the same would hold true here. We were wrong.” Los Angeles get ready, the show hits your town this weekend!
Fashion is art with a much bigger budget and a much bigger profile. Here are my four favorite designers and what they’ve created for Autumn/Winter 09/10.
Jean-Paul Gaultier – Parisian Bordello
Vivienne Westwood – Plus Five Degrees

Kylie – PNAU Collabo?

There are rumours from Australian music source The Music Network that Kylie will work with Australian dance music duo PNAU for her next LP.
Nothing confirmed yet, but the potential for this collaboration is amazing…

Winnie Exclusive

Our friends S.Y.L.K. from Australia hooked us up with an exclusive new song. I’m supposed to say that it’s a not fully finished all though it sounds pretty darn good to my ears. It’s a little bit more on the 80′s disco tip than the previous track we of theirs we posted.
Bluffin W/ My Muffin

Messkid is a 21 year old producer / dj from New York.

Vancouve DJ, U-Tern did a mix of straight Prince material back in 07. It’s pretty much the best thing ever.
Peep his blog and also check out his show, One Day Later Radio on BROOKLYNRADIO.NET
Here’s an edit he done did of a demo of MJ’s Pretty Young Thing as well.
Michael Jackson – Pretty Young Thing (Demo) (U-Tern Edit)
Tron 2.0

How perfect is this?
Daft Punk will be creating an original score for the upcoming Tron sequel.
Tentatively titled Tron 2.0, production is set for this spring with a release in 2011.
Of course, tracks by the French duo are ALL OVER the internet… here’s something a little different.
