Nic Dro

Self proclaimed “King of Pop”, Nic Xedro, or Dro as his friends call him sure has a lot to live up to.
I have to say, he does it well. First single, “see you in the club” is definitely a banger. It fits perfect in the sound system of your convertible. It’s commercial t-pain RnB with integrity n soul.
I wouldnt be surprised if Nic was swedish, his music contains that hard to grip contemporary coolness that only the Scandinavians seem to have mastered.
“Im A Freak” has something almost naive about it, bumble bees flying through the summer air kinda feelin, still keeping with in the dark RnB sound Nic Dro seems to thrive in.

“On a connecting flight home we stopped in Paris. At 6am, Pharrell tries anything to get McDonald’s to open up early. “
Best music video I’ve seen in a LONG time.
Never Gets Old

from the bbc
An 18-year-old has secretly painted a 60ft drawing of a phallus on the roof of his parents’ £1million mansion in Berkshire. It was there for a year before his parents found out. They say he’ll have to scrub it off when he gets back from travelling.
One Day

This reminds me of closing time at Funky Winker Bean’s… every second Saturday.
The Juan MacLean – One Day (James Curd Remix)
Mixint it up WMC style last post

Ok, so here for the final part of the WMC mini mix series…

Both of there mini mixes comes from DJs with a strong backgound in Hip hop. The 2nd one comes from way to active DJ Wool, DMC Champion on Ireland in 1998. Well, just do a Hypem.com search of Wool and you see. Im really feelin the new and official remix of Timbalands new protegé Izza Kizza.

This upcoming Saturday we are once again doing our night, NO MORE STRANGERS.
The last one was pretty much the most fun ever, this one promises the same.
We have Shindig winners, Hermetic coming down, a dancey, indie pop, 2 man band that I am in love with.
Hermetic – Preventative Arrest
Aaaaaand we have Haunted Beard opening. A group made up of the people behind the Crystal Beard animation collective. They’re going to be doing some visuals as well so you can trip ballz.
