New Strokes Side Project
Strokes drummer, Fab Moretti has started the side project, “Little Joy“. Named after a Los Angeles, Echo Park dive bar of the same name, the band consists of Moretti’s girlfriend Binki Shapiro and Brazillian singer guitarist Rodrigo Amarante (formerly of Los Hermanos) who all moved in to a house together in the area.
It sounds remarkably similar to a stripped down version of the Strokes which I have absolutely no complaints about.
An 11 track album is being released November 4th. Check out more Little Joy at their myspace.
Little Joy - No One’s Better Sake
After listening to it for about a few seconds, I can already pick out a dozen similarities they have with the Strokes. But for me, that’s a good thing.
