What The Haps Indie Rock?

I was marveling at what a beautiful song this was being about the peacefulness of sleep and all. I did a little research and discovered that a lot of the songs on Elvis Perkins’ debut, “Ash Wednesday” including this one, are about the loss of his mother who was killed in one of the planes that hit the WTC.  A beautiful, beautiful song nonetheless.

The Bombay Bicycle Club, have released this new single.  The London boys made quite the splash last year with the release of their debut ep “Boy I Used To Be” which made it on quite a few best of 2007 lists which is quite impressive for a bunch of very young 17 year old, insanely talented dudez.  These guys are pretty much top of the personal indie rock radar.  Buy their Boy I used to Be for $3 here!

The Stars have offered up a track for free download.

The Stars – Bitches In Tokyo

The Kings of Leon have a new album, “Only By The Night” which I eagerly await its release, 9/23/08. This is the first single off of the album which by the sound of things is going to be as banging as their previous output.  If you don’t know of TKOL, go and buy their previous 3 albums, they’re legends.
