Get The F*&$ Out of Dodge

Here in Canada, a 22 year old riding a grey hound bus was recently stabbed to death and beheaded by a random stranger sitting next to him.

Tim McLean was dozing off with headphones on about 80kms outside of Winnipeg en route to Vancouver last Wednesday when the incident occured.

Bus passengers rushed to flee the bus and a police standoff ensued for four hours afterwards while the suspect, Vincent Li paced up and down the bus holding the decapitated head.

Details have been released that an ear, nose and part of mouth were found in a plastic bag in the suspects pockets.  Li is also accused of allegedly eating parts of McLeans body.  A psychiatric evaluation has been ordered.

To make the matter worse, a US church group known as, The Westboro Baptist Church one of the most hated groups in America, have planned to enter the country to protest at his funeral over the weekend in Winnipeg.

The church group (if you can call them that) have made a name for themselves by claiming pretty much every tragedy in the Western world from the war in Iraq to Heath Ledgers death to random bus beheadings are the work of god in retribution for homosexuality and abortion.

To quote ctv.ca

The daughter of the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church, based in Topeka, Ka., told CTV.ca she and several other church members will go to Winnipeg on Saturday to demonstrate against what she described as McLean’s “filthy way of life.” Shirley Phelps-Roper said his life was emblematic of Canada’s moral decay.

“God handed us a gift,” Phelps-Roper said in a phone interview on Thursday.

She said McLean deserved his death by beheading on a Greyhound Bus last week.

“(His death was) supremely unemotional. You got God shaking in rage. There is no emotional component … He was a rebel against God. He was taught to be a rebel by his parents. He came from a rebel country … They brought this wrath upon his head. And it sucks to be him and it sucks to be them,” Phelps-Roper said.

She said his brutal murder was a sign from God.

“You gotta connect the dots, people … from your idols to your filthy way of life,” she said.

“Here’s what I know. He is dead and God does not do that to people that serve in his truth.”

Phelps-Roper described McLean — who she had never met — in an insulting, insensitive and graphic manner. Her crudest descriptions of the 22-year-old are not printed.

“I haven’t met him personally, but he has nothing going on,” she said dismissively.

“(His life) was all about him. Blah, blah, blah … He was a rebel … I don’t need to know anything else … I don’t need to know the minutia. Everything you need to know is right there.”

Watch these cowards in action fleeing from one of their protests when anti protesters showed up.

Canadian border officials have been advised to deny entry to the group and Winnipeg NDP MP Pat Martin said the group should be “sent packing,” and should not try to show up in Winnipeg “for their own safety.”

Apparently the group is thinking twice about their proposed actions. ”The question to my mind [is] whether or not we ought to get them the heck out of that country, because that’s some crazy stuff when you’ve got your officials talking like they are in a back-alley brawl and not government officials who took an oath to obey the law and so forth.”

A counter protest has been planned on facebook, reported as already having 700 members there were 137,000 members when I last checked.

Sorry to be such a downer, but this struck a nerve… In other news, there’s a roller disco party in Strathcona park planned today!

Greyhound have reportedly been hasty in pulling this ad campaign that they had up prior to the incident.
