Commercialized? That is what the pirating industry is trying to keep from happening. You know, things like Kate Perry and Justin Timberlake, trying to keep bad things like that happening, and maybe people will listen to more Air and Bjork and As Tall As Lions and stuff (but then they wouldn’t be “INDIE” but whatever. Stereotypes and images, that’s all.)

I think as long as there’s people with egos (and big successful musician sized ones) and collaborations between them, one side of the party will feel jipped when the other side gets credited as being responsible for the work produced.

Look at groups like the Beatles, The Police and Nirvana ect There’s been big debates between groups such as those as to who’s the big talent behind the work.

When you look at the solo work of Lennon & McCartney outside of the Beatles, Stings solo work and contributing band members such as Dave Grohl, you can see that it’s really the sum of both (all) parts and not just one individual thats responsible for the groups music.

i have been looking for that J Robertson remix for over two years now.. that sugarcubes remix cassette was my soundtrack when i was a young skater punk.

Btw, There is no way Bjork didnt write Vespertine.. . it’s my fave of her’s.
