Winnie’s Mailbag

Winnie's Mailbag

It’s that special time once again when we all sit around the camp fire together and listen to some of the tunes people have sent in.

This cut copy track has been getting me through the week.  St Loius’ dj Solly with a remix.

Cut Copy – Far Away (Solly remix)

These two tight little numbers are samples from Kelevra’s Bad Dog EP which from the sounds of it is more than worth shelling out the $1.50 you can get them for from Juno, Beatport or djdownload where these are the top two selling tracks right now.  Your internet pilaging soul will thank you for it and you might even hate yourself less.

Kelevra – Hear Me Now

Kelevra - Grab Ya Funkstick

Anyone who knows anything about anything knows that Dj.dstar is the shit.

Hoods Up – Push The Feeling On (dj.dstar Remix)

Someone beat us to posting this and it’s #1 on the Hype Machine’s popular list right now.  Just who is this Austrian, Diskokaine and how do I get my webpage to be this rad?  Or hit up their myspace far a less ADD experience.

Diskokaine - Riminini

Georgia’s Immuzikation is at it again.  Santogold vs Spank Rock vs A-Trak

Santogold – Shove It (Immuzikation’s Whoa, Yerrr a Joke! RMX)

Todla T gives the grimey dubstep treatment to Sweden’s Little Dragon.

Little Dragon – 1 Recommendation (Todla T Remix)

Do you want to know what white people like?  White people like CCR. I don’t get all the hype around the Stuff White People Like blog and I’ll even go so far as to call racism on that shit.  I like eating Chinese food, I even like eating watermelon and no I don’t like being early, I like being late and making people wait.  F&^% THAT S*&$.

Streetlab is giving more of their stuff away here, scoop!  Their Gimme Shelter remix is OTH (off the hook)

Credence Clearwater Revival – Fortunate Son (Streetlab Mix)

-Some non electronic stuff in the next mailbag… we’re not robots, I swear.

just to let you know: all the songs played for me in the player…

    loving the cut copy remix.

as for “stuff white people like,” some of the satire is bang on… come on New Balance… after a while it gets tedious.
