Radiohead go Open Source

Thom York

Ever fancied playing around with a computer generated image of Thom Yorke’s head? Me neither, but you don’t have to be a computer nerd like Hunk to get a kick out of it and in the meantime feel like a creative crafty.

The video for Radiohead’s, “House of Cards” was made without cameras and lights. Instead 3D plotting techniques (whatever they are) were used and the band wants us to do whatever we like to it.

You can download the code from google here.

Here’s what you’ve got to play with:

Repeater is a Pandora link to Radiohead

They are recording with Ross Robinson in a month or 2 and are trying to follow a new marketing model compatible with rising technology and the dying music industry as we know it. I hope a band like this can pull it off like an established band such as Radiohead.
