The Ting Tings give me the tingles
The Ting Tings are blowing up, it’s past official. I was pretty surprised to see my prized unknown indie faves on the new ipod commercial.
Their new album, “We Started Nothing” is highly, highly recommended. The album is out on disk on June 3rd, and it’s definately worth paying for.
They’re coming to Vancouver June 9th and the show is not yet sold out! Do not sleep on this. Check their myspace for more North American tour dates throughout June!

Also some W.C. “fan” video from the concert. I had forgotten how many girls were at this show, there was like 4 to 1 and the same thing again for their date here in April. It must be all that talk about romance or something?

I borrowed a SNES with Mario World & Street Fighter. Come baby come baby baby come come
Street Fighter must be the game that you don’t need any skills for. Just be very skillful in pressing A,B → UP, UP, DOWN (maybe that is a skill). I had one trick with Honda that made me beat the woop-woop out of Blanka (and he’s from Brazil),
Mario on the other hand was a lot harder, too much of the green and red turtles/bowser/bowser’s son/whack ghosts etcetera. O and I sucked like big time.
But maybe my point is that these (S)Nes midi-files are very hot.
Besides this little childhood revival I stumbled upon Nightcrawlers.

Basics
Sometimes it’s easy to get bogged down in all the stuff floating around on the interweb. I’ve been in this rut for a while where I’m just totally uninterested in searching for new music… well, that and my laptop has barely 2 GB left so I’m limiting my downloads until my upgrade arrives. Instead, I’ll just meander around finding stuff like this or this. Anyhow, it’s only been a few weeks of meandering and I already feel so out of the loop! Whatever. When I get in these moods I do two things: 1. Refill my prescription. 2. Get back to some classic material.

A dirty, dirty little ditty from the newest member of G-Unit, Hot Rod. MTV’s Tila Tequila spits some nasty on it too. Apparently this is the song of the summer, I say it needs a nice remix to get rid of that cheese ball chorus.
